Male Fertility Test
What is subfertility?
Subfertility is the term used to describe the failure to achieve pregnancy after 12 months of free and frequent sexual intercourse. To better understand the term we present the following example.
Of the one hundred (100) couples starting at the same time efforts to conceive (having free unprotected sex with a frequency of every 2-3 days throughout the cycle and for at least 12 months, and the woman is under 36 years old), eighty (80) will eventually result (sooner or later) to pregnancy. Of the remaining twenty (20) that will continue to have the same frequent free contacts for another 12 months, age permitting, five (5) to ten (10) will achieve a pregnancy. Thus we see that after two years, the probability of (cumulative) pregnancy in the above couples reaches 90%.
Subfertility therefore deserves further investigation when we have exhausted the chances of natural conception.
